The Presentation: The Feast of the Presentation of our Lord will be observed on the 2nd of February with Matins at 9:00am, Evensong at 5:00pm, and Mass at 6:00pm.
Clergy Retreat: Fr. Anglin will be away from the 5th-7th of February for the mandatory Diocese of Springfield pre-Lenten clergy retreat. In that vein, there will be evening prayer in the place of Mass on the 7th.
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper: St. Barnabas will be hosting as well as inviting the community at large to its annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on the 13th of February from 4:30-6:30 in the Fellowship Hall. It is free to attend and all donations collected are based off of free will offerings. It should also be said that private confession will be available all day by appointment to those who wise to do so.
Ash Wednesday: Ash Wednesday and imposition of Ashes will be observed with Mass at 5:30pm on the 14th of February.
Lenten Wednesday Courses: This year’s Lenten course will be on discussing, meditating, and participating in the Stations of the Cross. This course will begin on the 21st of February in the fellowship hall after our Wednesday Mass.
Stations of the Cross and Benediction: Starting on the 23rd of February, Fridays in Lent will be observed with the devotions of the Rosary, Stations of the Cross, and Benediction at 4:30pm.
Diocesan Council: Fr. Anglin will not be in the office on Friday the 16th of February and instead will be at Diocesan Council in Springfield.
St. Matthias: The Feast of St. Matthias will be observed on the 24th of February with Matins at 9:00am, Evensong at 5:00pm, and Mass at 6:00pm.
Pastoral Visits: Pastoral visit can be made with me for this month of February be appointment.
Private Confession: Private confession can be made with me for this month of February be appointment.
Office Hour Changes: My office hours have changed from 8:30am-11:30am to 8:30am-12:30pm.
Morning and Evening Prayer Announcement: Per Facebook, Daily Morning and Evening Prayer formart is being disbanded. As of now, Morning and Evening Prayer and its sung counterparts of Matins and Evensong will be held publiclly on Feast Days and Sundays. This change will be reflected in the Parish announcements and our Website.
